PRINCESS CHARLENE AND PRINCE ALBERT SPLIT RUMOURS SQUASHED
A spokesperson for the royal family has said that rumours doing the rounds of Princess Charlene and Prince Albert heading for a divorce are “malicious rumours”.
This isn’t the first time that rumours about the royal couple’s marriage have surfaced after the Princess’ lengthy stay in South Africa in 2021.
South African Princess Charlene spent a couple of months in South Africa in 2021 focusing on her health.
At the time, rumours became so bad that Prince Albert himself addressed the topic:
“She didn’t leave Monaco in a huff! She didn’t leave because she was mad at me or at anybody else… She didn’t go into exile. It was absolutely just a medical problem which had to be treated.”
About the rumours, he said: “I was concentrating on taking care of the kids. And I thought it would just probably go (away). You know if you try to answer everything that comes out then you’re constantly (responding), you’re wasting your time.”
The Prince went on to say that the rumours “affects her, of course it affects me”.
During a recent interview with Monaco-Matin, the former Olympic swimmer discussed her health openly.
“I continue to recover, to rebalance myself. It will still take time, but I’m happy. My family and those I love are my rock. I approach the future, step by step, one day at a time.”
