BETTY WHITE TO BE HONOURED WITH STAMP
The recent elections in the United States might have left a bad taste in the mouths of half of the population, but the US Postal Service hopes to turn this around.
The Postal Service has announced that it will be releasing a Betty White stamp. Come on, who doesn’t like Betty White?
The Golden Girls actress will grace a 2025 Forever stamp.
In their announcement, the Postal Service said: “An icon of American television, Betty White (1922 – 2021) shared her wit and warmth with viewers for seven decades. The comedic actor, who gained younger generations of fans as she entered her 90s, was also revered as a compassionate advocate for animals.”
White died less than three weeks before her 100th birthday in late December 2021.
After her death, actor and comedian Seth Meyers said White was “the only SNL host I ever saw get a standing ovation at the after party.
“A party at which she ordered a vodka and a hotdog and stayed til the bitter end.”
Although a release date for the stamp hasn’t been announced yet, people are already excited about the stamp with many collectors excited to add the Betty White stamp to their collections.
