THE ROCK CONFIRMS NO PRESIDENTIAL PLANS FOR HIM

Even though 46% of Americans said they would support him in his run for President of the United States, Dwane ‘The Rock’ Johnson has confirmed that he won’t be pursuing the position.

The actor has mentioned that he might want to run for President on numerous occasions over the years, but in a recent interview with CBS Sunday Morning, he confirmed that there aren’t any Presidential plans in his future.

“I love our country and everyone in it. I also love being a daddy.”

Johnson went on to say that he has made the decision to focus on his family.

“Especially during this time, this critical time in my daughters’ lives. Because I know what it was like to be on the road and be so busy that I was absent for a lot of years for my first daughter’s growing up, (at) this critical age at this critical time in her life. And that’s what the Presidency will do.”

Johnson is referring to his 21-year-old daughter Simone Johnson who he had with his ex-wife Dany Garcia. He later remarried and had two daughters, Jasmine Johnson aged 6 and Tiana Johnson aged 4 with his wife Lauren Hashian.

Only recently, Johnson got his fans excited when he posted on Instagram: “I don’t think our Founding Fathers ever envisioned a six-four, bald, tattooed, half-Black, half-Samoan, tequila drinking, pick up driving, fanny pack wearing guy joining their club – but if it ever happens, it’d be my honour to serve you, the people.”
