TREVOR NOAH’S AFRO COMB CONFISCATED AT MEXICO AIRPORT
Although comedian Trevor Noah might be a well-known figure for many people across the globe, his afro comb clearly isn’t.
During his holiday in Mexico, Noah shared several photos on his Instagram account. It seems as if he is having a great time as he’s singing the country’s praises in his post.
He captioned the post with the following: “The best food, the best people, the best surprise. Gracias CDMX.”
It’s believed that the surprise he mentioned was when he got into trouble with the police at the airport.
In his post, he said that his afro comb was confiscated by security after they didn’t realise what it was.
The comedian is currently in the middle of a world tour for his Off The Record Tour. It started in Atlanta on 20 January and will continue in other parts of the US on 10 February.
In between his world tour, he will also present the 65th annual Grammy Awards which takes place this weekend.
News24 reports that in a recent interview on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Noah said the Grammys is his favourite award show because “every time I go to the Grammys, I discover a new artist that I didn’t fully appreciate, that I didn’t love for the reasons I should have”.
Noah only recently stepped down as the host of the Daily Show which he presented for several years. He was the first African comedian to present the US-based show.
