A RECAP OF THE 2023 OSCAR NOMINATIONS
The sci-fi adventure Everything Everywhere All At Once is leading the 2023 Oscar nominations. With 11 nominations including best picture, it leads the race with the western All Quiet On The Western Front and the dark comedy The Banshees Of Inisherin following closely behind.

Women Talking
Avatar: The Way Of Water and Top Gun: Maverick were two of the highest grossing movies of 2022. Lady Gaga’s song Hold My Hand from the Top Gun soundtrack has also been nominated for the best original song.
The category will see Lady Gaga go head-to-head with fellow pop sensation Rihanna for her song Lift Me Up which featured on the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack.
Songwriter Diane Warren has been again this year. She wrote the song Applause for the movie Tell It Like A Woman. This is Warren’s 14th Oscar nomination and she is yet to win the golden statue.
Besides best picture, Everything Everywhere All At Once was also nominated for best director, best lead actress, best-supporting actor, best original screenplay, best costume design and best original score.
In the best supporting actress category, Everything Everywhere All At Once received two nominations. Both Jamie Lee Curtis and Stephanie Hsu.
The ceremony will take place on 13 March.
