BOXING COMMENTATOR STEPS IN TO PREVENT SCUFFLE

Steve Bunce was busy commentating on live TV when a scuffle next to a boxing ring made him get up to sort it out.

It happened at London’s O2 Arena over the weekend after the Anthony Joshua and Jermaine Franklin fight.

The former WBC cruiserweight champion Bellow was seconds away from a possible ringside boxing match with some of Franklin’s team members.

It happened right behind where the BBC commentators were sitting. Bunce got out of his seat, threw down his headphones and stepped in.

He took Bellew away from the area of conflict and calmed him down. When he realised the situation was diffused, he got back into his chair, put his headphones back on and was ready to commentate again.

Bellew later told iFL TV that he was made to apologise.

“I didn’t wasn’t the trouble with them.”
