FATHER ACCIDENTALLY DONATES DAUGHTER’S WEDDING DRESS

A stranger came to the rescue of a bride in distress when it was revealed that her father accidentally donated her wedding dress.

Tanya Walsh told CBS News that her father phoned her to let her know he cleaned out her mother’s closet. Tanya’s mother died of cancer and they bought the dress just before she passed away.

“We searched for that perfect dress together, and we have that memory of getting that dress before she passed away.

They decided to keep the dress in her mother’s closet until her big day, unbeknown to her father.

She decided to turn to Facebook with the hope that someone in her father’s area might know where the dress ended up.

Luckily for Tanya, a stranger stepped in to help.

A volunteer at the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul was tagged by someone because they had hoped she might have heard of or seen the dress.

Sheila realised that the dress was there in their donation centre and phoned Tanya to give her the good news. Tanya broke down when she got the call.

“I just completely sobbed when I saw the dress. I instantly broke down. I just couldn’t believe that it was real that I found the dress.”
