BRUCE WILLIS STEPPING AWAY FROM ACTING
Hollywood actor Bruce Willis has decided to step away from acting after he’s been diagnosed with aphasia.
The news was announced by Rumer, his daughter with former wife Demi Moore on her Instagram account.
“To Bruce’s amazing supporters, as a family we wanted to share that our beloved Bruce has been experiencing some health issues and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia, which is impacting his cognitive abilities.”
“As a result of this and with much consideration Bruce is stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him. This is a really challenging time for our family and we are so appreciative of your continued love, compassion and support.”
The Mayo Clinic describes aphasia as “a condition that robs you of the ability to communicate” and can be caused by a stroke, head injury, a brain tumour or disease.
The post concluded with a heartening touch.
“As Bruce always says, “Live it up” and together we plan to do just that.
Rumer tagged the names of Moore as well as their other two daughters Scout and Tallulah, along with his current wife, Emma, and their daughters Mabel and Evelyn.
During an acting career that’s spanned several decades, the 67-year-old actor is known for blockbuster movies like the film series Die Hard, 12 Monkeys and Pulp Fiction.
