COKE MAKES NEW TECH INSPIRED FLAVOUR

Just recently Coca-Cola announced that it will be discontinuing half of its portfolio across the world. This included the sad news that Tab will soon no longer be available.

Now, the cooldrink giant has announced that it will soon be launching Coca-Cola Zero Sugar Byte. The new adventurous flavour is supposed to taste like pixels.

Oana Vlad, senior director of strategy at Coca-Cola, told CNN Business that it’s a refreshing taste.

“Coca-Cola Zero Sugar Byte makes the intangible taste of the pixel tangible. It’s the Coca-Cola taste you know and love with bright elements upfront and refreshing with the finish.”

Although it might seem strange to us in real life, Byte has appeared globally on an island in the video game Fortnite. The popular game invited players to visit an island called Pixel Point which was created by Coca-Cola. Players were then given the chance to play different games and one of them even took place inside a glass Coke bottle.

It’s clear that Byte is aimed at gamers, a section of the market that’s recently gotten brands all over the world interested.

CNN Business reports that US customers can buy Byte online starting May 2 while supplies last. The flavour is available only in a zero sugar two-pack in the United States, which costs about $15 plus shipping. Byte will be available for sale in some Latin American countries Monday, and in China on May 23.
