GETTING PAID TO VISIT RETRO MOTELS

If getting paid to visit retro motels along the United States coast sounds like something you’d be interested in, Hotels.com has just the right job for you.

The hotel booking site is advertising a position for a “retro beach motelier” who will get paid to visit the company’s 10 best retro beach motels this summer.

You’ll get paid $10 000 to travel from Florida and Maine to Washington state and southern California. The trip involves quite a lot of travelling so the money should cover all of that.

Luckily, there’s also a lot of fun to be had, so the company is also paying the lucky person a $5 000 salary to spend on whatever they want to during their travels.

Not only that, but Hotels.com will also carry the cost for sunscreen, umbrellas, vintage sunglasses, a cooler, a solar-powered AM/FM radio and a retro polaroid camera.

So, what’s the catch? If you’re the chosen one, you have to use a polaroid camera to document the trip for future generations.

If you want to apply, complete the questionnaire on their website. Your Instagram handle will be required along with fun questions like “If you time travelled to the ‘50s, who would you spend your beach vacation with?”

Some of the hotels that will be visited include The Pearl Hotel in San Diego, The Montauk Beach House in Long Island and The Vagabond Hotel in Miami.

The lucky winner will be chosen based on their creativity and originality, quality of submission and fit to the theme.
