JOHN CENA BREAKS GUINNESS WORLD RECORD
Actor and former professional wrestler John Cena has been awarded the Guinness World Record for the person who has fulfilled the most wishes from children on behalf of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The WWE icon has made the wishes of 650 kids come true since he joined the foundation in 2002. No other figure involved with the Foundation during its 42-year existence has ever granted more than 200 wishes.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation gives kids between the ages of two and 18 who have been diagnosed with a critical illness a chance to make a request that is fulfilled by Make-A-Wish.
According to Guinness, Cena is the most requested celebrity for wishes.
During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Cena said that he wants to give the kids and their families memories to last a lifetime.
“I want them to have an experience that will stay with them to forever. I don’t ever want the children or their families to be treated in a way where they feel as if they’re up against anything at all.”
Since his retirement from professional wrestling, Cena has starred in several movies, most of them comedies. He has also starred in series and game shows like Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader as well as Wipeout.
Cena is married to Iranian-born Canadian engineer Shay Shariatzadeh.
