325 MODEL CARS ON AUCTION

The High Street Auction Company has announced what it calls the latest and most detailed model car collection known to be held by a private individual in South Africa.

The collection belongs to a local car enthusiast who has been collecting these model cars for more than 30 years.

According to Stef Olivier, High Street director and auctioneer, the owner of the collection wants to share his collection with others.

“Some were on display in the seller’s private study for his own enjoyment, but the majority have remained boxed for their entire lives. It is for this reason that the owner has decided to sell the collection, which took him many years to accumulate both locally and internationally. He decided it was not fair for the collection, which took him many years to accumulate both locally and internationally. He decided it was not fair for the collection to be hidden away but rather to be shared.”

Business Insider reports that the models range from 1:43 to 1:10, in die-cast and to-be-built. Model cars manufactured by brands like Exoto, Minichamps, Hot Wheels, Art Model, CMC, GP Classics, BBR, Brumm, and Tamiya will be sold to the highest bidders at the end of the four-day auction.

The collection even features a limited edition F1 Ferrari which comes with a piece of F1 racing legend Michael Schumacher’s racing suit.

All 325 model cars will be on auction.
