NANDO’S LAUNCHES COLOUR CHANGING CLOTHES

Nando’s is known for delicious flame-grilled peri-peri chicken. Now, thanks to a new endevour, the South African fast food chain is also venturing into the world of fashion.

But of course, it comes with a twist and a side dish of humour.

The Nando’s Extra Hot fashion range has recently dropped in the UK. It comes in different colours closely linked to the flavours offered by restaurants: Lemon and herb, medium, hot, and extra hot.

Although Nando’s is a South African brand that was launched locally 35 years ago, the fashion range is only available in the UK. And, according to the online store, it’s selling fast. Especially the short sleeve tees and sweatshirts.

Besides the cool names, styles and well-known font used, the fashion range is also colour changing. All the items are made with thermochromic dye that allows the clothing to change as a person’s body temperature rises and falls.

The temperature range is between 0 and 70 degrees Celsius.

According to Business Insider, Nando’s South Africa confirmed that its UK brand had “dropped a seasonal tactical merchandising drop” but that “at this stage, the campaign is confined to the UK only”.
