A fitness influencer has tongues wagging after he posted a video on TikTok about his love for eggs and how many he eats per day.
Fernando Torraca is a full-time bodybuilder who has been training for 19 years.
In the video, he shows a basket filled with 400 eggs. He then says it would usually take him just four days to consume them all.
“I eat seven to eight to ten meals a day… (I’m) eating basically almost every hour, (or) hour and a half.”
With egg prices rising steeply, followers of the bodybuilder did ask him about the cost of his diet.
His response? “I don’t care about money, I care about my shape.”
News24 reports that Torraca, who calls himself “The King of Diet” has more than half a million followers on TikTok and 100 000 followers on Instagram.
But, just how healthy is it to eat 100 eggs per day? According to Susan Campbell, a registered dietitian at the Cleveland Clinic, it’s okay to eat one whole egg per day.
One hundred eggs a day? Now that is a while different story.
