THAILAND CROWNED MISS WORLD 2025
Miss World 2025 is Opal Suchata Chuangsri from Thailand. Chuangsri was crowned in India on Saturday.
Chuangsri, who is currently studying a Bachelor’s degree in Politics and International Relations, said she wanted to use her voice for a good cause.
“This wasn’t just about representing Thailand. It’s about the many women who haven’t been heard – and using my voice to stand for something that really matters.”
The 21-year-old managed to beat 108 contestants from around the world to claim the title, the first one for Thailand. The first runner-up was Hasset Dereje Admassu from Ethiopia.
Last year’s winner, Jrystyna Pyszkova handed over the crown to Chuangsri. This was the second year in a row that the competition was held in India.
South Africa’s Zoalize Jansen van Rensburg stunned in a protea-inspired dress designed by Juan William Aria. Jansen van Rensburg won the Word Designer Award – Africa.
In the pageant’s history, three South Africans have managed to win the Miss World Title they are Penny Coelen in 1958, Anneline Kriel in 1974, and Rolene Strauss in 2014.
