TUPPERWARE MAKING A COMEBACK

Everyone loves a good comeback story, especially if it’s associated with childhood memories.

When Tupperware announced that it would cease all production in December 2024, it truly marked the end of an era. This followed the American parent company’s decision to drastically scale back operations after it filed for bankruptcy in September 2024.

A French businessman has bought Tupperware France and plans to relaunch the brand in key European markets.

At a press conference in Paris, new owner Cedric Meston announced that he had bought the entirety of Tupperware France from its previous Belgian owners.

Meston, who is the co-founder of the plant-based food company Happyvore, plans to relaunch Tupperware in France, Belgium, Germany, Italy, and Poland.

The launch? April.

Meston has enlisted the help of fellow entrepreneurs and Tupperware’s existing management team for the relaunch.

They hope to reach one million euros in revenue by the end of 2025.

Although everything is set to go, it’s uncertain whether the Tupperware factory in Belgium will play a part in the brand’s revival. The factory was forced to shut down at the end of 2024 after it lost is production and sales licence.
