VERSTAPPEN AND RED BULL REIGN CHAMPS AT FIA AWARDS NIGHT

Red Bull driver Max Verstappen and his team have been crowned this year’s champions at the 2023 FIA Prize Giving.

The ceremony took place in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Verstappen finished at the top of the leaderboard with 290 points clear of his teammate Sergio Perez. Both drivers were in attendance to receive their winner and runner-up trophies.

Also in attendance was Red Bull team boss Christian Horner to accept the team’s trophy as the champion title winner.

Verstappen, who won 19 out of the 22 races, said the 2023 season was a lot of fun.

“It’s been incredible. It’s been great fun as well to work with everyone. We all want to win, we want to do the best we can, but when you’re travelling around so much all over the world you want to also do it with a great group of people, and we definitely have that at Red Bull.”

The Dutchman shared his gratitude and excitement for next year’s season.

“I’m extremely proud of what we have achieved, but I hope also that it doesn’t stop here!”
