15 FAMILY MEMBERS IN NAMIBIA DEAD AFTER EATING SAME PORRIDGE

A country has been left in shock after 15 members of the same family have died from suspected food poisoning.

Local media reports suggest the family in the north-eastern region of Kavango East in Namibia were deeply impoverished. It’s believed the family had eaten porridge made from cereal residues left over after it was used to brew an alcoholic drink.

Seven other members of the family have survived. At this stage, it’s not clear whether they also ate the same porridge or not.

The incident happened last Saturday and the victims were rushed to hospital soon after eating the porridge. So far, reports suggest that 15 of the family members have died.

Local police have confirmed that autopsies will be done to establish the deaths. At this stage, it’s believed to be the worst case of food poisoning seen in the African country.
