ANORA BREAKS RECORDS AT THE OSCARS

The Oscars were indeed a magical night for Sean Baker and the rest of the cast and crew responsible for the movie Anora.

Baker won a record-breaking four Oscars last night making him the first person to win four Academy Awards for a single film.

The fifth Oscar went to the movie’s star, Mikey Madison, who won the best actress award. Madison managed to beat big names like Demi Moore and Cynthia Erivo.

During her speech, 25-year-old Madison said: “This is very surreal. I grew up in Los Angeles but Hollywood always felt so far away from me, so to be here standing in this room today is really incredible.”

Anora is a drama revolving around the life of a New York stripper who falls in love with a wealthy Russian businessman’s son.

Adrian Brody won his second Oscar when he was awarded the best actor for his portrayal of a Hungarian-Jewish architect in The Brutalist.

Kieran Culkin won the award for best actor in A Real Pain. The movie features two cousins who travel across Poland in remembrance of their grandmother. A Real Pain was directed by Jesse Eisenberg who starred alongside Culkin.

The best actress award went to Zoe Saldanna who won for the Spanish-language musical Emilia Perez.
