RACHEL STEPS DOWN AS CEO OF KOLISI FOUNDATION

It’s a move that surprised many people. Rachel Kolisi stepped down as CEO of the Kolisi Foundation. She took the position in 2023.

The news was announced by the anti-gender-based violence (GBV) non-governmental organisation (NGO) Justice Desk on their social media.

The NGO praised Rachel for her “unwavering support” for their initiatives and wrote: “We know she will continue to do incredible things. Rachel, you will always be a GBV activist at heart.”

Rachel, together with her former husband, Springbok captain Siya Kolisi, co-founded the Kolisi Foundation in 2019. The pair shocked South Africans when they announced their divorce in October 2024.

Following the announcement, Rachel removed “CEO of Kolisis Foundation” from her Instagram bio. It’s been updated to read: “Student, Mom, Speaker, and Director.”

Rachel is the cover model for the March/April 2025 edition of Women’s Health SA. The magazine featured the former fitness instructor’s journey of healing through exercising.

“I have received thousands of messages from women all over the world sharing their stories of heartbreak, loss, devastation and disparity. And almost always they ask: ‘Where did you start your healing journey?’ It was here. Exercising.”

Rachel recently announced that, in partnership with Jeff Fitness, she’s launching a 21-day fitness challenge.
