CLUB MED TO OPEN RESORTS IN SA

South Africa is about to become part of the Club Med portfolio as the holiday resort company has announced its going to open the first resort of its kind in the country.

Club Med Tinley will boast with a distinctive combination of both beach and safari. The resort will be located in KwaZulu-Natal.

Not only will the resort up the province and the country’s tourism numbers, but it will also create job creation opportunities for locals in the area.

If everything goes to plan, the resort will generate more than 800 direct jobs as well as an additional 1,500 indirect jobs.

The numbers mentioned exclude those of construction workers who will be building the resort. It’s anticipated that the project will employ around 1,200 construction workers.

Club Med Tinley aims to achieve a 4-star rating from the Green Building Council of South Africa once the project is completed.

Construction is planned to start in the first quarter of 2024 with the opening of the resort planned for July 2026.
