DIDDY ASKING FOR TRUMP PARDON
If Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs gets his way, he won’t be spending the next couple of years in prison. That’s if he gets pardoned by none other than United States President Donald Trump.
According to the rapper’s lawyers, he’s seeking a pardon before his sentencing in October. Combs was found guilty on prostitution-related charges in July. It’s estimated that he could be sentenced to two to three years in federal prison.
The rapper was arrested in September 2024 and was repeatedly refused bail for $50 million.
One of Combs’ lawyers, Nicole Westmoreland, told CNN that they’ve reached out to Trump on behalf of their client. “It’s my understanding that we’ve reached out and had conversations in reference to a pardon.”
But, during an interview with Newsmax on Friday, Trump indicated that he’s not likely to grant the pardon.
“I was very friendly with him. I got along with him great, and he seemed like a nice guy.”
But, it seems as if things turned sour while Trump ran for president: “I didn’t know him well, but when I ran for office, he was very hostile.”
The interviewer then asked Trump directly whether it meant that he would not pardon Combs, to which he replied: “I would say so, yeah.”
