EMPLOYEE FOUND DEAD DAYS AFTER DYING AT OFFICE IN US
A 60-year-old woman in a Wells Fargo office in Arizona has been found dead at her desk. It’s believed she died a few days before that.
Denise Prudhomme scanned into the building on 16 August and her body was found by security on site on 20 August.
A spokesperson for Wells Fargo, Ruben Pulido, said: “We are deeply saddened by the loss of our colleague, Denise Prudhomme. Our thoughts are with her family and loved ones, and we are in contact to ensure they are well supported during this difficult time.”
The statement also said that Wells Fargo is reviewing its internal procedures regarding their employees’ safety and wellness following Prudhomme’s death. Counsellors were made available to affected employees.
The cause of death hasn’t been disclosed to the public yet.
“The preliminary investigation did not show any obvious signs of foul play,” a Tempe Police Department spokesperson said of the ongoing investigation.
Employees and the general public raised concerns about the fact that Prudhomme was only found a few days after she died.
According to anonymous comments made by employees on a local news website, most employees work from home after the pandemic and Prudhomme’s cubicle was located in an empty area in the office.
