ERNIE ELS’ DAUGHTER MAKES DEBUT FOR SPRINGBOK WOMEN

There’s a new Els making waves in the world of sport.

Samantha Els, daughter of legendary South African golfer Ernie Els is about to make her debut as lock for the Springbok Women.

Els is currently based in the United States where she plays for the New York Rugby Club. She completed her studies in Human Biology at Stanford University. She also played for the university’s rugby team.

The 24-year-old was often seen caddying for her dad while he was competing at major golf tournaments around the world.

The Springbok Women will take on the San Clemente Rhinos in Cape Town this week.

News24 report that Els was invited to her fist national alignment camp in August and is one of four players playing their trade overseas with Catha Jacobs (Leicester Women), Babalwa Latsha (Harlequins Women) and Amber Schonert (Sale Sharks Women).
