INJURY WOES FOR NEWCASTLE AND ENGLAND

Anthony Gordon’s injury troubles have come back to haunt both Newcastle United and the England national team.

The winger limped off during Newcastle’s clash with Athletic Bilbao at St James’ Park after just 41 minutes, holding his hip and looking visibly frustrated.

Despite Newcastle’s comfortable 2–0 win, the mood around the ground turned tense as fans feared another setback for one of their brightest stars.

Coach Eddie Howe admitted after the match that he hasn’t received a full update yet but confirmed it’s the same hip problem that’s been bothering Gordon in recent weeks.

It’s not the first time this issue’s caused trouble. Earlier this year, Gordon had to pull out of an England camp with a similar injury, and now it’s flared up again right when both club and country need him most.

For Newcastle, the timing couldn’t be worse. They’re juggling a busy schedule across the Premier League and Europe, and losing Gordon puts extra pressure on their attack. For England, it’s another headache ahead of their upcoming fixtures under Thomas Tuchel. Gordon’s been in great form, and his energy on the wing’s been crucial.

Everyone will be hoping this latest setback isn’t too serious and that he’s back on the pitch soon.
