JAMES CORDEN BANNED FROM NY RESTAURANT
Comedian James Corden has been banned from the popular New York restaurant Balthazar.
The owner, Keith McNally, said Corden has been abusive towards his staff on two separate occasions.
The first time was in June when Corden implied that he had found a hair in his main course. McNally said that Corden was unpleasant and told the manager: “Get us another round of drinks this second. And also take care of all our drinks so far.”
Corden then visited the restaurant a second time and had a moment of rage when he yelled at the waiter for a mistake with his wife’s omelette, saying “You can’t do your job! You can’t do your job! Maybe I should go into the kitchen and cook the omelette myself!”
That’s when McNally decided to ban the British Corden from his restaurant, blaming it on abusive behaviour towards his staff.
McNally posted on social media that the host of The Late Late Show is “a hugely gifted comedian, but a tiny cretin of a man”.
The owner then posted a day later again, saying that Corden phoned him and “apologised profusely”. With the apology came the promise that the comedian is welcome to eat at Balthazar again and that the ban has been lifted by McNally.
