LEGO EIFFEL TOWER REACHES NEW HEIGHTS
Lego fans all over the world are going to have a lot of fun this Christmas. That’s because the world’s favourite brick toy manufacturer has just brought out the Eiffel Tower.
The tower is a replica of the tower in Paris, France. Up until 1929, the Eiffel Tower was the tallest structure in the world until the Chrysler Building was built in New York City in 1929.
According to Lego, their version was designed to authentically replicate the momentous wrought iron tower.
It consists of 10,001 pieces and has three observation platforms, elevators, a broadcast tower, landscaping and a flag to top it off.
Lego’s designer, Rok Zgalin Kobe said that they “wanted to find the ultimate Lego expression for the engineering and architectural masterpiece that is the Eiffel Tower.
“We followed the structural principles of the original tower as closely as the Lego system would allow.”
The Lego Eiffel Tower is by far the tallest set that’s ever been constructed by the Danish company, but it’s not the biggest.
The Lego At World Map consists of an impressive 11,695 pieces, the biggest of all the Lego sets.
The Eiffel Tower set is due to be released at the end of November, just in time for Christmas.
