MAN UNITED HOLD ON IN CHAOS TO BEAT FULHAM 3-2
Manchester United pulled off a dramatic 3-2 comeback win over Fulham at Old Trafford in a pulsating Premier League clash on Sunday, keeping their unbeaten run under interim boss Michael Carrick alive.
It was the kind of game that could’ve gone either way, but United just found the edge in stoppage time to seal all three points.
United looked comfortable early on, taking the lead just before the half-hour mark when Casemiro powered home a header from a Bruno Fernandes free-kick.
The midfield general’s finish gave United the perfect platform to build from, and they doubled their advantage early in the second half through Matheus Cunha, who finished confidently after another clever Casemiro assist.
Marco Silva’s side battled back with real spirit and were handed a lifeline when Raul Jimenez converted from the spot late on, reducing the deficit and setting up a grandstand finish.
Just moments later, Fulham struck again when Kevin rifled a stunning strike into the top corner to level the scores and send the Old Trafford crowd into a frenzy.
With the game seemingly heading for a draw, United dug deep. Substitute Benjamin Sesko popped up in the fourth minute of added time, tapping home after great build-up play from Fernandes to snatch the winner and spark wild celebrations on the touchline.
