SOUTH AFRICANS VISITED THESE COUNTRIES THE MOST IN 2023

Every year, Discovery Vitality publishes its Year In Review with stats related to Vitality members’ workouts, healthy food choices and rewards from the previous year.

In the review looking back on 2023, it showed that there are three countries that were most visited during the year.

They are the United Kingdom (London), the United Arab Emirates (Dubai), and Mauritius.

London and Dubai come as no surprise as both of them were listed among the top cities in the world in the 2023 Quality of Living survey for expats.

Mauritius has always been one of South Africa’s favourite holiday destinations as the island is only four hours by flight.

Other stats revealed by Discovery Vitality is that its members collectively walked, ran, swam, and cycled a massive 1,713 times the distance to the moon in 2023.

The benefits arm of Discovery Medical Aid also noted that the busiest day for flights in 2023 was 1 May, while the busiest day for flights during the week is Sunday.
