2024 ROCK ‘N ROLL HALL OF FAME NOMINEES ANNOUNCED
The 2024 nominees to be inducted into the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame have been announced.
The music industry was shocked that the likes of Mariah Carey, Lenny Kravitz, Ozzy Osbourne, and Cher have only been nominated now.
To be eligible to be nominated, an artist or a band must have released its first commercial recording at least 25 years before being nominated.
John Sykes, the chairman of the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame Foundation said that this year’s list of nominees is a testament to the Foundation’s respect for diversity.
“This remarkable list of nominees reflects the diverse artists and music that the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame Foundation honours and celebrates.”
Other nominees include Sinead O’Connor, Dave Matthews, Oasis, Foreigner, Kool & The Gang, and Mary J. Blige.
“Continuing in the true spirit of Rock ‘n Roll, these artists have created their sounds that have impacted generations and influenced countless others that have followed in their footsteps.”
The official list of inductees will be announced in April with the induction ceremony to take place soon after that.
