BRAD PITT FILMS NEW F1 MOVIE AT SILVERSTONE
Hollywood actor Brad Pitt has taken advantage of shooting his new movie when he met with all the drivers at Sunday’s F1 race at Silverstone.
The British Grand Prix was home to the usual hustle and bustle of an F1 race with added Hollywood glam.
Pitt filmed some scenes alongside fellow actor Damson Idris for their upcoming movie about Formula One about a veteran driver who joins one of the teams. The scene was set for the team to be 11th on the grid and scenes were shot with a garage and pit-bay right next to Ferrari.
Pitt sang everyone’s praises involved in making it possible to shoot the scenes and thanked them for giving them full behind-the-scenes access.
“To be a part of it in this way? To tell our story? Everyone has been cool with us, the teams have opened their doors to us, the FIA have been really helpful, F1 and Stefano Domenicali. Everyone has been amazing.”
The organisers and the teams allowed Pitt and director Joseph Kosinski to join the drivers’ briefing ahead of the race.
News24 reports that using Formula Two cars converted by Mercedes, the ‘film cars’ took places on the grid for the race and rain in part of the formation lap before the start of the Grand Prix.
