DISNEY WORLD CLOSED BECAUSE OF BEAR
A hungry black bear was the reason why some of the attractions Disney World’s Magic Kingdom in Florida, United States had to be shut down.
The theme park is one of the largest tourist attractions in the world. More than tens of millions of visitors from around the world flock there every year.
The bear was sighted in a tree in the theme park and it led to rides like Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean being closed.
In a statement, a spokesperson for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said it is probably a seasonal thing.
“During the fall, bears are more active as they search for food to pack on fat reserves in the winter.
“This particular bear was likely moving through the area searching for food. In most cases, it is best for bears to be given space and to move along on their own.”
Because of the many people inside the theme park, the bear was captured and relocated out of the park to an area in or around the Ocala National Forest.
