ELON MUSK ON TOP OF WORLD’S RICHEST LIST AGAIN

US billionaire has been named the world’s richest man by Forbes.

According to the list published annually by the magazine, Musk has replaced Bernard Arnault, the French luxury goods tycoon, as the world’s richest billionaire.

This isn’t the first time the South African-born Musk has been given the top spot. He was named the world’s richest man for the first time in 2022. He lost the position in 2023 and 2024. But, due to Musk increasing his net worth by $147 billion over the past year, he’s back in the number one spot.

Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg is the world's second-richest man. Over the past year, the Facebook founder increased his net worth by $39 billion to $216 billion.

The third position is held by Amazon founder, Jeff Bezos. He kept the same position that he held last year as well. According to Forbes data, his estimated wealth is $215 billion.

The co-founder of software giant Oracle is now the world’s fourth richest man. Larry Ellison’s estimated net worth is $192 billion.

Last year’s richest man in the world, Arnault, took the fifth position. Arnaut is the head of the LVMH mega-conglomerate consisting of the Moet, Hennessy, and Louis Vuitton brands. His family’s net worth is estimated at $178 billion.

According to the data supplied by Forbes, the total number of billionaires has increased by 247 people and has reached 3,028 people in total.
