FLASH MOB ROBS NIKE STORE IN LA

A Nike store in Los Angeles was robbed of more than R225,000 in merchandise over the weekend.

A group of more than 12 people with their faces concealed by medical masks or other materials ran into the store with trash bags in their hands.

They immediately started placing clothing and boxes of shoes into their trash bags before they fled without paying for the items.

According to local police, the Nike outlet is situated within a busy shopping centre in Los Angeles.

USA Today reports that there are 17 suspects, 4 females and 13 males, ranging in age between 15 to 20 years old.

The group arrived and left in three different cars.

Although none of the suspects were identified, one of them wore a hooded sweatshirt with a bonsai tree and the words “Ritual of the Spirit” written on it.

Police have asked locals for information on the incident or the suspects.

Nike hasn’t released a statement relating to the incident.

With the festive season approaching, crime incidents worldwide are increasing with stores robbed more often than any other time of the year.
