CARLOS SAINZ WINS NETFLIX CUP

It was a first for Carlos Sainz and a first for Netflix when the F1 star won the inaugural Netflix Cup.

The Ferrari driver paired up with two-time PGA Championship winner Justin Thomas at this live sporting event held in Las Vegas.

The event brought together drivers from the Netflix F1 reality show ‘Drive to Survive’ and golfers from ‘Full swing’ the series showing the behind-the-scenes shenanigans from the world of golf.

Every pair consisted of one golfer and one F1 driver. In the end, Sainz and Thomas managed to beat Tony Finau and Alpine driver Pierre Gasly.

The final hole saw a closest-to-the-pin battle on the final hole which led to the pair winning the Netflix Cup.

During the trophy handover, the winning pair wore black-and-white checkered flag suits and Sainz was handed the trophy.

Seconds after being handed the trophy, Sainz dropped it by accident, and it fell to the floor.

The event was held ahead of the inaugural Las Vegas F1 Grand Prix on Sunday. The idea was that teams had to try their best to finish a hole no matter how many strokes they hit.
