PATRICK DEMPSEY VOTED SEXIEST MAN ALIVE
It’s official! Patrick Dempsey has finally been voted the sexiest man alive.
The Grey’s Anatomy star made a name for himself when he starred in Can’t Buy Me Love in 1987.
Since then, he’s starred in numerous TV series and movies, but has always missed out on the sexiest man title.
The 57-year-old told People that he’s planning to use the platform in a positive way.
“I’m glad it’s happening at this point in my life. It’s nice to have the recognition, and certainly my ego takes a little bump, but it gives me the platform to use it for something positive.”
Dempsey’s career took a bit of a dip before he made a comeback as Doctor Derek Shepherd in Grey’s Anatomy. He starred opposite the lead role played by
The actor has been nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award and two Golden Globe Awards.
He’s also an avid race car driver and has even said that he’ll quit acting for good if it meant he could participate in races for the rest of his life.
Dempsey will star in the new Michael Mann movie Ferrari which set to be released soon.
One of the causes he wants to highlight with the title is the Dempsey Center. The center in the United States supports cancer patients and their loved ones, and was founded by the actor in honour of his late mother.
