JAY LENO SERIOUSLY BURNT AT HIS GARAGE

American comedian late night talk show host, Jay Leno has been admitted to hospital after sustaining serious burns.

Leno is currently being treated at the Grossman Burn Center in Los Angeles. He sustained serious burns to his face during a fire at his car garage in Los Angeles.

The Times reports that leno is known for his love of collecting cars and is said to have been working on a vehicle when it burst into flame on Saturday. His car collection is said to include about 180 vintage and exotic vehicles as well as roughly 160 motorcycles.

The 72-year-old told Variety magazine in a statement: “I got some serious burns from a gasoline fire. I am OK.”

According to TMZ, Leno was hospitalised on Sunday after a fire erupted in his Los Angeles car garage. One of the cars reportedly burst into flames and left Leno with burns on his face.

Leno was the presenter of The Tonight Show from 1992 to 2009 after taking over from Johnny Carson. He briefly left the show to host his own primetime talk show, but quickly returned to The Tonight Show in 2010.

In 2014, he was succeeded by Jimmy Fallon who still hosts the show.
