LEBRON JAMES BREAKS ABDUL-JABBAR’S RECORD

Los Angeles Laker star LeBron James has passed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the most prolific scorer in NBA history.

Abdul-Jabbar had a 39-year-old record that many believed would never be broken.

James passed a total of 38,387 points after scoring during a game against Oklahoma City Thunders.

The game was interrupted to celebrate this iconic moment. Abdul-Jabbar sat courtside as he witnessed James in action. He was one of the first people on the court to congratulate James on his new record of 38,388 points.

The Crypto.com Arena erupted in loud cheers as the crowds realised they witnessed an iconic basketball moment.

“To be able to be in the presence of a legend as great as Kareem, it means so much to me,” James said to the crowd.

“Everybody that’s ever been part of this run with me these last 20 years, I just want to say I thank you so much because I wouldn’t be me without all your help, all your passion and all your sacrifices to help me get this point.”

James ended the game with 38 points behind his name. He currently stands on a career total of 38,390.
