LIV GOLF COMING TO SA
For the first time ever, LIV Golf will be heading to Africa.
The International Golf League announced that Steyn City in Johannesburg has been chosen to host the first-ever LIV Golf South Africa.
The event will take place over three days from 20 to 22 March 2026.
Steyn City is a Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course set in Johannesburg’s northern suburbs. It’s surrounded by luxurious homes.
The won’t be the course’s first time hosting a professional tournament.
One of the highlights of the event is that local fans will get to watch Stinger GC on their home turf. The team is made up of four South Africans: Captain Louis Oosthuizen, Dean Burmester, Branden Grace and Charl Schwartzel.
In total, the league has 54 individual players who compete for the individual titles as well as the team titles.
Other players include Bryson DeChambeau, Brooks Koepka, Phil Mickelson, John Tahm, Sergio Garcia, Dustin Johnson and more.
What sets a LIV golf tournament apart from the others is the music concert after the play and fun fan experiences. Every tournament has a festival atmosphere, and the South African event lineup will soon be announced.
