AFFAIR ACCIDENTALLY EXPOSED DURING COLDPLAY CONCERT
Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin had no idea just how correct he was when he made a joke about a couple possibly having an affair at one of the band’s concerts.
The concert in Massachusetts, United States, featured a Jumbotron screen with the well-known kiss cam showing couples all loved up when it showed a man and a woman who tried to hide when they recognised themselves on the big screen.
The couple turned out to be colleagues who were having an affair. Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and his head of HR were accidentally exposed and without knowing it, Martin said: “Either they’re having an affair or they’re shy.”
Although it’s not clear whether the woman is married, Byron is married with children.
Since the video went viral, Byron has resigned.
In a statement released by the company’s board, it confirmed the news: “Andy Byron has tendered his resignation and the Board of Directors has accepted.”
The statement also said the board had launched “a formal investigation into this matter” and would have “additional details to share very shortly”.
Meanwhile, a fake statement claiming to be from Byron has been circulating on the internet. The company has confirmed that Byron hasn’t released a statement.
