RELIEF AT THE PETROL PUMPS

Motorists can rejoice as some relief is experienced at the petrol pumps.

June has been kind to motorists and July has started off with great news.

From today, both petrol and diesel will be cheaper.

Petrol 93 has decreased by R1,05 per litre while petrol 95 has decreased by 99 cents per litre. Diesel 0.05% has decreased by 30 cents per litre and diesel 0.005% has decreased by 24% per litre.

Diesel prices are wholesale only and pump prices will be different.

Illuminating paraffin has decreased by 18 cents per litre and LP gas has decreased by 22 cents per kilogram.

The Department of Mineral Resources and Energy has said that the price decrease across all options is due to the average Brent Crude oil price decreasing and the Rand ever so slightly strengthening against the US Dollar.
