TEENAGER DIES AFTER STANDING UP THROUGH SUNROOF, HITTING CONCRETE BEAM

An 18-year-old Canadian has died tragically after he got struck by a concrete beam while standing up through a car’s sunroof.

The incident happened in a parkade at West Edmonton Mall in Canada on Thursday.

Local police released a statement describing the event: “It was reported to police that a Toyota Camry sedan was travelling through the parkade when an adult male passenger stood up through the sunroof of the sedan. As the vehicle was passing underneath a ramp, the passenger struck a concrete bean.”

The 18-year-old, who was taken to a nearby hospital where he died due to his injuries, was in the car with a 17-year-old driver and a 15-year-old passenger. They weren’t injured.

Although police are investigating the incident, they don’t believe that speed or impairment are believed to be the cause of the collision.
