USHER TO HEADLINE SUPERBOWL HALFTIME SHOW
US-singer Usher has been announced as the headline performer during the 2024 Super Bowl half-time show.
With massive hits like You Make Me Wanna, Pop Ya Collar, Confessions Pt II, Burn and Yeah! the singer is set to give a stellar performance.
This won’t be the 44-year-old’s first time at the Superbowl, but it will be his first time as the headline act. In 2011, he performed as a special guest for the then lead act, Black Eyed Peas. During their performance Usher participated in a stunt with will.i.am.
Last year, female R&B sensation Rihanna performed a brilliant set and also announced her second pregnancy.
On the topic of next year’s performance, Usher said “it’s an honour of a lifetime to finally check a Super Bowl performance off my bucket list. I can’t wait to bring the world a show unlike anything else they’ve seen from me before”.
Next year’s Super Bowl final will take place in Las Vegas where Usher currently has a residency.
He has also announced that he will release a new album on the day of the Super Bowl. The new album, titled Coming Home will be the first album since his 2016 release Hard II Love.
