TREVOR NOAH LISTS NY APARTMENT FOR $12,95 MILLION
A far cry from his humble roots in Soweto, Trevor Noah has just listed his New York apartment for a whopping $12,95 million. That’s R234,9 million.
As Noah is preparing to say goodbye to his role as the host of the popular The Daily Show, he has decided to sell his apartment in the Hell’s Kitchen area of New York.
The apartment is located in the Stella Tower complex and is only a short five-minute walk from his office at the studio where The Daily Show is recorded.
To be honest, it’s not just another apartment. It’s the penthouse apartment and Noah has done extensive refurbishment after he bought it in 2017, to make this one of the most desirable penthouses in the Hell’s Kitchen neighbourhood.
Part of the refurbishments included changing the entire apartment’s layout. The 334-square-metre unit originally featured a massive main bedroom with a terrace. Making the most of the view, Noah turned the house upside down so that the main living area featured the terrace and the bedrooms were moved to the lower-floor living room area.
According to the real estate agent who listed the apartment, it is located on the 17th and 18th floor of the building with no adjacent buildings of that height. It features three bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms and seclusion and grandeur rarely found in Manhattan.
