Taylor Swift has made history… again. The 32-year-old has managed to take all 10 spots in the top 10 US singles chart.
The pop star tweeted: “10 out of 10 of the Hot 100??? On my 10th album??? I AM IN SHAMBLES”.
The record comes after the release of Swift’s tenth album called Midnights. It has become the fastest-selling release of 2022.
The previous holders of this record are Drake with nine of the top 10 singles in September 2021. Before that, it was the Beatles who managed to score eight of the top 10 singles in 1964.
Not only did Swift manage to take over the airwaves and music streaming platforms, but the lyrics of her song Anti-Hero has also become very popular on social media platform TikTok.
The BBC reports that all 13 of the songs on Midnights’ standard edition make the top 15, interrupted only by Sam Smith’s Unholy at 11 and Steve Lacy’s Bad Habits at 12. The seven bonus tracks from Midnights’ deluxe “3am edition” appear between numbers 20 and 45.
The multi-award-winning artist went the unconventional route to announce the release of her latest album. During the 2022 MTV VMAs in New Jersey in August she mentioned that her new album is about to drop in the next few months.
