ADEL ANNOUNCES LONG BREAK FROM TOURING

British singer Adele recently completed a long stint in Munich where she ended her European tour. At the end of the show, the 36-year-old announced that she’d be taking a break after more than two years of touring and performing.

“I just need a rest and I have spent the last seven years building a new life for myself and I want to live it now. I want to live my new life that I’ve been building.”

Last month, the hitmaker confirmed that she’s engaged to Rich Paul, a famous American sports agent.

The 10 nights in Munich were the last performances she’ll be performing in a long time. She also just recently ended her weekly residency at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas called Weekends with Adele.

The singer shared that she will reminisce about the performances she’s done over the last few years.

“I will not see you for an incredibly long time and I will hold you dear in my heart for the whole of my break. I will fantasise about these shows and any shows that I have done over the last three years.”

With the successful series of Munich shows she truly ended her temporary farewell on a high note.

News24 reports that the concert broke records with sales of more than 730,000 tickets. It was held in a temporary stadium with a capacity of 73,000, making it the largest pop-up arena constructed.
