BARCA RUN RIOT OVER MALLORCA

Barcelona delivered a statement performance at the Spotify Camp Nou, thumping Mallorca 3-0 to extend their lead at the top of LaLiga and underline their title credentials.

It was a cool, clinical win from Hansi Flick’s side, one that saw both experience and youth shine as the Catalans tightened their grip on first place.

The scoring opened just before the half-hour mark when veteran striker Robert Lewandowski capitalised on a rebound and fired home from close range, giving Barca an early lifeline and reward for their territorial dominance.

After the break, teenage sensation Lamine Yamal took centre stage. The 18-year-old rifled a spectacular curling effort in from outside the box, his trademark technique on full display as he made it five games in a row with a goal in all competitions.

And Barca weren’t done. As Mallorca tried, Marc Bernal, another product of Barca’s prolific academy, capped off a brilliant team move with his first senior goal, sealing the 3-0 scoreline late on and prompting roars around Camp Nou.

From start to finish, Barcelona controlled the tempo. They kept possession smartly, made use of the wide areas and didn’t let up even when the scoreline was comfortable. Mallorca had a couple of half-chances early on, but Barca’s defence stayed solid, and they never looked seriously threatened.

The win moves Barcelona four points clear of second-placed Real Madrid, putting them in a strong spot as the season enters its business end.
