BIDEN TO RUN FOR RE-ELECTION IN 2024
While many Democrats have wondered whether their leader will run for another four-year term, it has been confirmed that United States President Joe Biden will indeed be running for re-election in 2024.
This was announced on board Air Force One by White House spokesperson Jen Psaki as the President attended a Thanksgiving event with US troops in Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
“He is. That’s his intention,” said Psaki.
Biden’s popularity has taken a massive dip since he was inaugurated as President of the country. Earlier this month, two former Democratic states, Virginia and New Jersey, were won by the local Republican representatives.
Rumours have also been doing the rounds that the President and his Vice President, Kamala Harris are not on friendly terms anymore. Body language experts have detailed how the Vice President seems uneasy while standing next to the President and that her forced smile is a sign of a tense relationship between the two.
News24 reports that Biden underwent his first physical examination on Friday, since taking office in January, and doctors found he has a stiffened gait and attributed bouts of coughing to acid reflux. Doctors said he was fit to serve.
