BLINK182'S MARK HOPPUS REVEALS HE HAS CANCER
Mark Hoppus has recently revealed that he has cancer. The former bassist of the punk rock group, Blink182, took to social media to announce it.
Hoppus explained that his cancer isn't bone-related, but blood-related. It's the same type of cancer that his mother had and beat.
His cancer has been classified as diffuse large B-cell lymphoma stage IV-A.
Since sharing his cancer diagnosis on Twitter, he revealed more about his chemotherapy during a live Twitch interview, including the positive news that doctors gave him.
He followed up the interview with a Tweet saying "I'm so grateful and confused and also sick from last week's chemo. But the poison the doctors pump into me and the kind thoughts and wishes of people around me are destroying this cancer. Just gonna keep fighting".
While doctors are positive about his chemotherapy treatment, Hoppus has said that the side effects are horrendous.
"I have chemo brain. I forget things I should have just on call, like people's names, song titles, like anything. I just forget stuff… it really sucks".
While Hoppus has been battling cancer for the past three months, it only recently become public knowledge after he shared the news.
