BOOK YOUR OWN PRIVATE TABLE MOUNTAIN CABLE CAR

If you've been missing the stunning views that Table Mountain has to offer, there's a special promotion that you can make use of… if you have the money.

You can ride in a private cable car all the way to the top of Table Mountain and back... at a staggering rate of R10,000 plus an extra R300 per person.

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, the maximum capacity allowed in a single cable car is 26 people. So, it gives you the option to fill your own private cable car with 25 other friends, family, neighbours, colleagues or whoever you prefer.

Some added extras that you could enjoy while you're riding the four-minute-long ride in your private cable car, is the use of a private tour guide, and you'll be able to jump the queue while you're waiting to board.

Business Insider reports that the new option comes as the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Company (TMACC), which runs the cableway concession to the top of the mountain, saw a dramatic decline in revenue due to COVID-19.

While the other tourist attractions around the city also failed to contribute an income for the city, the TMACC hopes that this will generate at least some income, although still a lot less than what they're used to.
